POTATOES
« on: May 29, 2008, 18:20 »
Hi

I am growing potatoes in bags, covering them with a layer of soil when the shoots show at about 3 to 6 inches.  The problem is not attended to them of late and have now grown to about 12 inches and the bags are only half full.  Do I take off the green leafs and cover or just leave them now?

Ally :)

Put some more compost or whatever in the bag, but don't cover the leaves & leave them - that's how a plant makes it's food!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
