Conifer woodchip - is it safe?
« on: January 14, 2010, 14:05 »
I've been offered a load of woodchip ... but it's from a conifer hedge ... is it safe to use as bedding in the run?
two daughters, nine hens, two goldfish, three cats ...

should be, we had a load delivered from a tree surgeon and most was conifer woodchippings, that was in august, it will need changing in a few weeks, but i have some large conifers to cut back, so will shred them and use them on the floor of the run
