Title: Seeds at Aldi

Picked up two packets of Parsnip seeds at Aldi yesterday for 19p each (date on packet is 2013).

Just a word of caution, parsnip seeds are not the greatest for shelf life and a lot will depend on how they've been treated before you got them. This, of course, is an unknown variable.

Here's a seed longevity chart from John, which only gives them one year - and that'll be under good storage conditions.

The variety is 'Hollow Crown', and I read (source - victoriannursery.co.uk) that it is

".....very old variety for one very good reason only - rich true parsnip flavour - and is flavour not what all good eating is about? For flavour this is in our view unsurpassed."
