I have always built my compost bins out of old pallets, they last for years. Or, our local council sell compost bins (Daleks ) delivered, for £18. Layer your compost green/vegetable waste with cardboard ( torn up, I use loo roll centres and egg boxes). Keep it just moist ( I also add "compost accelerator " aka wee!
Always get lovely dark compost.
Good luck. 👍

Exactly as oldgrunge said, make a bin out of pallet wood, layer the greens and browns and make use of the golden accelerant :D
