She's showing off now  ::)  Either that or its a courgette fairy version of two fingers up as her moment of glory slowly comes to an end

She's been round here lately too. Too little too late.

Those look like the epically useless "white volunteer" courgettes from a well known and favoured by some website. I've tried them for 3 year and never had much success with them.

Nice pair!  :)

My Defender courgettes are looking a bit the worse for wear now and getting rather mildewed having not enjoyed the cooler temperatures up to a few days ago (shame really as they only really got going a few weeks ago having "lost" 2-3 weeks due to late planting out (frost risk) and then sulking for most of sunless June.)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Totally!  I used them for first time this year. Still nothing from the White volunteers but the all green bush free from a mag are finally producing. Same for my beans - expensive French climbing variety from same supplier done nothing but grow leaves. Cheap cobras from Dt browns finally producing. Will not be using them again, don't care how ethical they are!

They're little stars, aren't they?  :)

We've had a good year for courgettes. Not many at all.

Ours have been just about stayable - just enough from eight plants, for when we want them.

I don't put this year down as the best however, because in the past, we've managed on four plants, and eventually three.

The 'Fairy' got to us quite early too! It's always the one underneath the stem, i.e. parallel to the 'trunk' and lurking along in tandem until it's too late...

We've had an exceptional year this year. None have gone to waste as courgette soup recipe was found and now a load in freezer for winter warmer meals.

I was going to ask if the stems were actually joined or just photograhed as though they were.

They look very healthy fruits  :D :D
