Something like this stuff may be of use, depending how you feel about using chemicals.
It is always a good idea to consider how other plot-sters on the site feel too. If any are trying to be as organic as possible, they might not be too pleased if you go spraying stuff on the land.

SBK (shrub and brushwood killer ) is still available I believe. That will do the job. :D

It might be a long shot but what about keeping a pig on the plot for a few weeks?.They are great at clearing an overgrown plot and manure the site at the same time.Bacon butties are also a perk

hello

thanks for the replys..
i dont use hard weed killer but the blackberry is not a pull up or dig out type.. have been doing that for 3 years still around..

so its gt to be weed killer, its away from others as it next to the railway line..and the guy next to me alway uses weed killer every year on  his plot..

we all get on ok up there give and take..seem to work..

i,ll wait for the wet weather to ease and then use oe f those people have post..,ll get a photo of the monster and show you.. >:(
thanks again

Oh yes, I agree completely. My point was good manners cost nothing, and can avoid any unpleasantness later.
When I visited my plot with the clowncil land manager chappie his attitude was "spray it, dig it, plough it, do what you want, we don't care."
Personally I would be happy enough to use weedkiller, but wouldn't like to upset an established community as a newcomer.
It's nice to be nice.  :)

The problem is, people are afraid to use chemicals. used judiciously they are a gardeners friend. It is only when someone with a slapdash approach to gardening starts spraying everything in sight, that others take offence. The pesticides are there to help you AS A LAST RESORT. :D
