I hope that the following is okay?

Just for a bit of fun, I shall begin to post up a few of my garden projects. Please feel free to post your own. :)

Here is the start. :)

I came up with the idea for 'Fairy Seat' after we cut an oak tree down in the garden. This is my first attempt at wood carving, and the design was created by my daughter and myself.

I then dug one of the branches into the ground and made a heavy duty bird table from it.

Finally, using a chainsaw I used a further piece of the trunk to make an ugly face sculpture!

More projects to follow! ;)

Fantastic Eddie, can't believe that's your first go at woodcarving and the bird table is a brilliant idea.

If you want to be happy for a short time - get drunk.

If you want to be happy for a long time - fall in love.

If you want to be happy forever - take up gardening!

Very Impressive Eddie!!!

A word of warning,  Don't create too many of those 'God' like sculptures with all your trees....

Remember Easter Island!!!!!!

Jamie thats a good job there, which should certainly help to make the area low maintenance.

Are they little holly trees coming up all over the place and in pic2 of the fairy seat there's a baby oak coming up as a replacement

Both te holly and the oak regeneration are now getting bigger. The oak I am training to become one stem which will make a canopy over the seat.

Ah, its not all that it seems. The garden does infact belong to my my mum in law. I'm just 'free' labour. :D
It's long story, but basically we have converted what was large house and garden into two.

Here is the next project. The whole garden was very very overgrown and neglected, and this is what I did with the front.

This last shot was taken in December of last year. Sadly money doesn't permit instant planting, but with all the various  Birthdays and Christmas etc, it'll slowly fill up.
