Just got to share as think hubby is getting a bit bored, I'm finally getting my bees :D :D :D :D

Congratulations. Hope it goes well for you.

Very exciting time, learning how to care for them.

Congratulations! We are looking at getting some too, they are big on honey here in BG. But learning will have to be from the internet!

Very exciting indeed! I love my bees, my OH has perfected the 'smile and nod' approach when I talk about them (quite useful when it comes to getting him to agree to helping me out without him realising it ;)). He has noticed all the kit needing sorting and making up in the study and there was less smiling about that!
When are you getting your bees?

ooh very exciting - I thought about getting some but as we dont like honey decided against it :)

I'm picking my hive and bees up on Saturday, have been a member of a society and done quite a bit of learning with other bee keepers, was worried a bit about getting them with it still being winter and moving them, but everyone has assured me there will be fine. My husband isn't a big bee fan, he's a real arm flapper. Let's hope. One escape in the care on the way home as it will make an interesting journey ;)

This time of year isn't bad to move them. They will get quite agitated during the move, so will generate quite a bit of heat in the car. Don't put your heater on high if you have them inside the car, otherwise they're liable to overheat. I presume whoever you're getting the bees from will make the hives safe to transport. I hope you don't have too far to go...

That sounds very exciting, wilbzfishing :D
I hope the journey goes well
