I haven't grown any from seed this year as I have just moved house-nightmare!  Anyway I thought I would be able to buy a couple of plants to gain back the time.  However I can not find any black cherry plants.  I have now got my tigerella (from the local shop) but still struggling on the black cherry.  I await with crossed fingers that you keen eyed guys might have seen some.

I bought one from Towneley garden centre in Burnley, think it was the last one though.

5 plants for del may 2.97  pp looks like from 1.99 to 6.99 depends on weight.  I see

I am going to go for a drive around tomorrow to see if i can locate one if not I will get them from plantsbypost - it worked out at 4.96 with postage which is okay I guess.  Regretting not growing from seed now

It's not too late if you do them this weekend in the warm they'll be fine by planting out time honest. I only did some during the week...cos when i did them earlier last year they got too big on the window ledge..so this year i've done em a bit later

If you can't find any, or get some going, as MOS says, it's not too late, PM me in a couple of weeks, I've got 20 on the go, a few more than I need & we'll see what we can do.

Really?  Do you think they will catch up?

I have been looking at some (although not Black Cherry)  on ebay and thinking if only I had been organised I could have planted the one I wanted and sell the others on there. It would pay for the seeds and some of the compost.

Not too late to plant seed really, if you can find them.

I'll be putting a second sowing of toms in over the weekend, my first lot have only just germinated.

DD and MOS you have made me smile on this lovely Friday night.  Even better is I am a teacher and I have the next 16 days to enjoy my new garden and get planting.

I am planning too and thanks for the offer - I hope I won't need to ask but it is good to know I have a back up plan from the best tom I have tasted-yum!
