Just down the road from us. It's one of those places that you live close to, but never get around to visiting.
Set in 15 acres of formal & informal garden & woodland, a nominal sum of £3 is charged for entry to the gardens. The house is not open to the public.
You leave your £3 in an honesty box by the gate and help yourself to a ticket!

The Veg Patch

It looks like the veg patch is not in use.Where I live the council are looking at opening a big walled garden as allotment.

This is a private house & the entire grounds are looked after my one man and his family, but it is a crying shame to see the walled garden looking like that.

Been for a re-visit today, not much has changed, but you can't walk through the walled garden anymore. Maybe they're thinking of doing something with it!
Anyway, £3.50 for 2 teas, 2 coffees served in china cups & a slice of cake for Mrs Digger - can't grumble!

looks a lovely place and a lot of hard work for 1 man and his family to keep on top of.
