Post by: Dan_Nicol on June 23, 2017, 13:07
Hi

I have just got my 1st ever plot, and its over grown so my plan on Monday is to just it all back down and strimm it as short as poss then cover it with black plastic to kill off weeds

Im not planting at all in 2017 im just sorting the plot for next year

Whats the best black plastic to use to kill off the weeds ?

Below is a picture of the plot

Thanks

You'd be better with weed suppressant membrane, the woven sort that is sometimes called landscapers fabric ax it allows water through but not light.  Then once used for your initial purpose you could use it for paths or to cover beds not in use or over the winter to stop further weed growth
