Can anyone tell me how much apple cider vinegar to put in my girls water please.
-
2% or 20 ml in a litre of water, make sure its the cloudy, horsey type you use and don't use a metal container. :)

Lovely Thanks it is the horsey one i've bought.

It's my girls' turn to have ACV in their water this week and I have noticed that they seem to prefer the drinker with the ACV as opposed to one with plain water (I always give them a choice). I've even swapped them about and they still go to the ACV. Strange!

Can i ask why you give this to hens and how often
thank you

Some scientific types :) don't see any benefit, but it does contain vitamins, minerals and trace elements (all good). It helps digestion, is an antiseptic and is also a mild antibiotic. The chickens seem to like the taste of it too. :)

Some only feed it periodically rather than all the time :)

When you say the cloudy horsey type does this mean not the stuff you buy from the supermarket?
