leggy lupin seedlings

Can anyone suggest how I can help my healthy but very leggy ( falling over ) lupin seedlings still in 3" pots? I am a beginner who just loves lupins! Thanks, Pam.

If they were mine I would get them in to the ground where you want them next year so they have time to settle in before dying down for the winter. Don't forget they will eventually have about three foot spread though, so need some room.

On the other hand, if they are really small plants (photo?) you may be better over-wintering under cover, but there is still time for them to grow yet.

Someone else may have a different idea.

I agree, get them in the ground asap as lupins have very long tap roots which aren't doing well in the pots, and will continue to deteriorate if left.
