White Rot Resistant Onions

White Rot Resistant Onions

Hi
I have read that Golden Bear F1 onion seeds are resistant to White Rot. Has anyone tried them and what sucess did they have. I am going to try them myself next season as white rot is a problem at our allotments.

I used these last year and had roughly 75% success rate.

Thats good. I have lost about 75% of my autumn planted onions. How did they store?

I bought a pack from "Chase" last year but didn't plant them because I thought they would just go blah, because we have had white rot on our garden and allotment.  Thanks for that, I'll plant them this coming Yuletide.   Fingers crossed.    :)

Storage looked OK, but we had finished them by Dec24th.
