I've been nurturing my sweetcorn and they are all about 3ins high went into greenhouse after work last night and something had 6 of them  :shock:  its as if the top growth has gone the roots are still good in the pot some top growth looked pulled up soil removed from round the base of stem i found one green shoot in the tray - my thought was mice - never had this before even when mice have been in greenhouse - any suggestions :?

Could be mice, but it sounds more like rabbit damage - they adore tender greens. Could even be the cat (if you have one) - mine forever nibbles at all my seedlings so I must cover everything with plastic domes.

I suspect squirrel as a likely culprit.

thanks for replies - coincidence you should say squirrels gobs I left greenhouse door open and OH tells me our local pair are back raiding the bird feeders so I now know to keep the door shut - they are getting nothing else  :x
