Proud of my harvest..... even in March

Hello all, I just wanted to share my good fortune,

Been down the plot today to clear out some beds in preparation for the new growing season,  I've just cleared the carrot/parsnip bed to make room for next years spud and would you believe that we've pulled up just under 18lb of carrots and 2lb of parsnips!?!?

We then moved down to last years onion bed in preparation for the beans and peas, only do dig out the quite sickly looking leeks (we didn't put them in til late, got rust quite early in autumn) so i wasn't expecting much. We lifted them, took pf the outer layer, top and tailed and we have a full carrier bag of the best looking baby leeks! must be over 40 leeks (no idea what to do with them)

I'm assuming I'll be sick of carrot soup and leek quiche by next weekend!

Great when you get this sort of unexpected bonus isn't it?
