Title: potato chitting...
Post by: Little Dibber on January 25, 2009, 20:13
Arrived home last week, potatoes had arrived already from T&M!

I am going away for the month of February.  I was thinking to leave the potatoes in the greenhouse (unheated and in the shade at that).

Was thinking to put the potatoes in them long trays that fit 4 seed trays in and myabe cover them with clear polythene in case there is any bad frosts.

Would this be a good idea untill I can get them in the ground?

Ps, got the Allotment dvd for Christmas so going to try the no dig method with the pots when I get back in March (if the ground aint solid)

Thanks,
LD

If you get a hard frost you'll probably come home to trays of mush
