It has been grey but milder the last couple of days so I've managed a few hours each day on the plot. Light rain started about 3.15pm and brought me home, the start of more to come according to the forecast.

Just below freezing overnight and still feeling very cold at 2C, grey and miserable looking, with it.

Then possibly much colder from about the 20th, with an Arctic blast because of the split in the polar vortex? Have to wait and see, of course, but that's what the weather models are predicting at the moment

Vortexes aside, this morning's plan of getting some pruning done in the front garden have been abandoned as after 10 minutes, I couldn't feel my hands or feet any more and then it started hailing.  Time to wimp out and get back indoors 

Its leaden skies, cold and generally grey here today.

10C and quite bright here, but I'd probably still feel cold even if it were double that.
