i was just wondering was there a record for the shortest daff , i know you get small ones but these only have a stem of a couple of inches , they are very bright yellow , hubby said they maybe snow drops but pointing out they were yellow he said it may be the soil (doesn't garden at all ,just digs)

Sorry - don't know. But I did see all the snow you are having on the news yesterday. Looks grim.
Growing salad leaves isn't rocket science.

its all gone in our area now and we had a very decent 18 degrees here today so guess where i was today .
