Who said chickens don't fly?
« on: November 04, 2011, 15:59 »
I'm used to our LM Sabelpoots toddling off to our neighbour to say hello (he enjoys their visits) and coming back through the fence when called.  I'm used to the 3 Lavender poots and 2 Dutch bantams roosting in the trees and flying down to the grass.  I'm even used to the made dash fly/jump/run of the LF in the morning when they come out.  What I'm not used to is the Lavender cockerel (he's not crowing) flying over a fence, across 2 gardens (about 80ft) and a good 10ft above the ground  ???

I thought it was a collard dove until I saw him land >:(

Which direction was he going in, home or away and did he come back yet?

Well, he can forget that nonsense >:(

Eils just went out to tuck them up for the night and was dive bombed by one of the LM poots, he's leading my poots astray >:(  Might have to rethink his liberty :(

He was coming home thankfully and he's gone into the coop tonight on his own :D whereas the Dutch bantam cockerel (he doesn't crow either, yet) still prefers the bare tree and has to be put to bed every night.  I'm beginning to think he enjoys being manhandled every night ::)
