Our girls laid their first eggs at the weekend, 1 on Friday, 3 Saturday and 5 Sunday all except 1 were on the smaller size, but we're more than pleased with them. Decided to have a couple each boiled this morning, mmmmm, delicious. By my reckonong they are now about 20 weeks old. Well done girls.

I still get giddy when I go and look in the nestboxes, I've had them for over a year!

friday was the two week anniversary of our first egg, so I had a tot up of how many we've had since then ( I keep a daily record, is this sad  ?) anyhow not including any today we've had 90, yes 90 eggs, well done girls  Oh by the way we have 8 hens and 2 bantams

Sad, but I keep a record every day now too   I did it because mine weren't laying quite as well at one point!
