Received seeds from a fellow member but mislaid your name, the plants are growing well but unable to locate variety for growing information.  Please help!

Cheers. :)   Tony.

Just in time Sunny!

(Well, nearly, I've just found what is allegedly the world's most complete online database of tomato varieties (1000's ) and guess what's not in it?)  ::)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

I use "Gardeners delight" and a "Beefsteak" one.  Seeds from local GC.

I have tried (over the years) Cuor di Bue, Costoluto Fiorentino, San Marzano, GD, Roma (current - disappointing so far), shirley, Ailsa Craig, among a few others I can't remember and haven't really been happy with any. :(

Even GD were poor last year.
Daren't go for anything big as I don't think they would ripen.

If these grafted ones I've got are any good I may stick with these - but even the San Marzano grafted has got blossom end rot >:(

I grow mine in a conservatory.  I gave up on outside and even an unheated GH was only half successful.  The conservatory is the place now.  Four Toms, Two Cucumbers and a black eyed Susan.  Its like a jungle.

Oh I love blackeyed Susans - Thunburgia isn't it?

Hoping Sunny or Kleftiwallah will tell me if these Conconas toms are any good

She is growing up a tower type thing and is now all across the rails of the blinds.  Lots of green growth but only ten or so flowers.  Lovely to watch, as are the tomatoes.  Definately the best place to grow them.

What do you want from your tomatoes that mean you haven't been happy? Over the last few years I've had a plan to grow 10 new varieties each year discarding ones that I didn't like and replacing them with others (as it says in this thread there are lots to choose from).

The list you gave look like they're mainly Italian varieties which need more sun and heat to grow than we tend to get in the UK, try some of the early ripening varieties like blooming Butcher and Sub-Arctic Plenty. If you want a beefsteak, try Summer Cider but realise that it doesn't ripen fully until late October/November.
