When's the best time to prune the trees back

Stone fruit trees like plum should be pruned in summer - later this month or August, perhaps.  Don't do it over winter.

Hello now or immediately after fruiting in August as the tree will get silver leaf disease and that kills the tree jezza

For some reason there was hundreds of plums last year this year not one bit of fruit what can that be

Sometimes fruit trees take a year off after a bumper year.

Or perhaps there was a problem at pollination time.
