Plane flying over, car starting up, dog bark, me calling him, first he gobbles and then the tals goes and he makes a vibrating noise which really s quite loud and at first I used to think it was thunder  he follows me everywhere bless him  if you are keeping 4 what are there names
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!!

I took this last year up a glen in Scotland. Unfortunately the handsome black cockerel legged it before I could get him in the shot.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

My hen house project July2008. I built it myself completely from stuff that would have gone to the tip. A full recycled job, I was amazed when I finished that it looks quite good, I think
What went into it? an old futon that had lost its mattress, and art easel, a pallet, some old skirting board, some left over bits from the new kitchen made the roof and spare hinges from the kitchen too for the door. The only thing I had to buy was a few screws.

And this is the run, had to barter and swap a sunday dinner for the posts, the chicken wire was mostly free (from friends and familys sheds and garages), had to buy a little to finish it though.
Had to have help to build this, as found I didn't have enough arms lol.
My weeks annual leave from work was the most enjoyable in a long time (is that sad lol?).
