Hi folks. I recentley bought 4 hybid pol, isa warrens.  2 days later i bought a light sussex and a bluebelle pol's.  as there was only 2 days between purchase, i thought that putting them all in same place would be ok, however the 4 warrens are bullying the 2 newbies, in perticular Cilla, the light sussex.  I have seppearated the 2 newbies from the other 4, but so they can still see each other. after reading  some other posts on the forum, im wondering wether i am doing things the wrong way round.  Of the 4 warrens  it seems that 2 in perticular are causing the most aggro.  I am now wondering wether it is best to put these two in solitary and introduce the newbies with the other 2 less agressive warrens.  the 4 warrens started laying straight away, and i obviousley want this to continue, but i also want the newbies to feel more at home in the flock, and to start laying thereselves.  Can anyone advise me on the best course of action

Thanks

Andy

Put out more feeders and waterers as these cause the most aggro. Otherwise you have to wait for them to settle. Personally if you have them in sight of each other I would continue this for a while before reintroducing them. If they are next door to each other even better. :)
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted!!

Just a small picky point. A bluebelle is also a hybrid, not a pure breed. :)
Any day above ground is a good day.

It's horrible to witness but they will get used to each other. And your Bluebelle will probably grow quite big as they seem to be one of the bigger of the hybrids so she will be able to stand up for herself eventually.

Ours took a few weeks, and they still have a go at each other, usually only when there is a treat on offer, but the younger ones seem to be faster and know how to snatch a treat and get out of the way quite quickly.

I agree with Sassy, make sure there are at least 2 feeders and water sources so that they can't be kept from either, and if you give them corn as a treat, spread it around as big an area as possible.

As long as there is no actual blood drawn then I would let them get on with it as it's all part of their natural process.

All the best. X

Thanks for that whiskey
cheers for the advice folks, i have been keeping an eye on them, and no blood has been spilt, occasionaly i split the groups just so the 2 newbies can have a bit more floor space, otherwise they seem to be forced into a corner
