Although it IS really helpfull if you could get hold of some good manure, but if not, or until you get some, why not considder making your very own wormery? Which will give you all the liquid fertiliser that you need. If not make two, they dont need to be big. This way you can throw all of your food waste, inc bones, fat, raw and cooked meat, almost anything can go in there. The worms do what they need to and you can collect the liquid after only a couple of weeks. Feed the soil not the plant..... P.M. me if you would like details on how to make a wormery.....

I am a big fan of wormeries too Gardening Mark but they can never replace all of the nutrients removed from your garden.

Wormeries work very well when manure (and lime and corrugated cardboard) is added along with food waste.  Very small amounts of meat / dairy are tolerated but I'd never add them out of choice.

Why don't you post your wormery instructions anyhow please?  I'm sure plenty of folks will be interested.

Why? if you're not moving animals, and not in or to or from the restricted area.

If I was a livestock farmer then the last thing I'd be wanting right now was to be bothered with amateur gardeners (or anyone else) coming in to the farm looking for manure.  Within or outwith the restricted area, they will naturally be a little on-edge
