I have just registered to rehome some ex battery hens. Any advice on how to make them comfortable when they first arrive in their new home?

A quiet space would be good, do you have other chickens? If you do, best to keep them seperate for a while until they get used to their new surroundings. And also they will need time to build up muscle in their legs to be able to scratch; but they'll adapt pretty quickly :)

yes my ex batts when they came were left quiet in their new home/run for a day or two.  They easily adjust to their new wonderful lives and its a real pleasure watching them experience new things like grass, sun, rain even, running etc.  Enjoy your new babies :)
