Woke up with this one a couple of days ago. I have no idea why, and I could only remember a line. I asked my friend, who looked at me as if a needed locking up.
The line was - 'If you don't want the Whelks, don't muck em abht'
Curiosity has got the better, and I have just Googled that line. It was Billy Cotton and his Band, with Alan Breeze singing some of the lyrics. OMG, I must only have been about 1 year old !! Mrs Bouquet

Takes all sorts Mrs B, but you surely must have heard, or read, something to trigger the recall - even if you didn't register it at the time.
I've given up wondering about the strange things, like this, that pop up in my mind at times ::)

The next line would be subject to immediate moderation, Mrs B!
My dad used to sing this with a huge grin...

Perhaps those songs of olden days were a bit cheeky. At least they gave people a laugh. Mrs Bouquet

Blooming heck - talk a bout a blast from the past. Favourite telly watching of my parents. Mind it was pushing it a bit for me who'd moved on from Radio Luxembourg and found it a bit old hat.

You may be right Mum. I had been watching a programme about 'The Two Ronnies' and Bill Cotton was on, and I remember thinking he is Billy Cotton's Son. Also been watching MasterChef, and all that horrible seafood . Mrs Bouquet
