Had a bit of good luck today.
« on: April 17, 2011, 17:48 »
Hubby and me  had to go out this morning, so only managed a quick visit to the lotty. Afterwards, on our way to town, we drove past a skip where builders were clearing up. In the skip were some pieces of blue water pipe, so after a bit of "you ask, no you, no you", we both went and asked the builders if we could have it. It was  a bit of a battle getting into our little hatchback, but well worth the effort. Pity we didn't get it yesterday when hubby made our brassica beds, (Luckily decided to wait till next year before buying pipe). Hopefully, we will still be able to use it on them. I forsee many more tunnels to come. Absolutely over the moon.  :D

Brassica beds, only built yesterday ::)

(Brassica beds were free too, packing material and pallet struts.)

Well done for being brave and asking!  I paid about £20 for about that much last year!

thanks everyone, I've never asked for anything from a skip before, and wouldn't have given that piping a second glance if I hadn't read about it here. :D

sion01, looks like a good day all round! ;)

That's a good question! I'd be interested to read the answer too.  ;)

thank you :)

I upload to photobucket, then click on the " image code" button (on the right hand "share this photo" column), and then paste here. It makes the whole process very simple.  i don't know how to post from other photo hosting websites though.
