Using clear plastic pots
« on: February 21, 2012, 10:15 »
This year i have to grow  a large number of shrubs and plants from cuttings and seed so need lots of pots.  I've been saving lemonade and other clear plastic bottles  to cut up to make extra pots.  Just wondering if  clear plastic, which  lets light to roots will be detrimental to growth.

I've always used   pop bottles for various things but never on a scale that it would make much difference.

Would be interested to hear what you think :)

i dont think it will affect the roots. ive grow in clear disposible cups before, but you can get alot of green mould growing inbetween the inside of the cup and the soil.
