Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!

We had it on Friday !
Good job it did not coincide with the huge spring tides over the weekend , it could have got very damp for those on the waterfront .

OMG,      I wouldn't know were to start, I guess I would just salvage what I could, and then wait for it to drain away.    As long as you are all safe.    Mrs Bouquet

And this is why I'm grateful that my plot is at the top of the allotment hill!
Hope you don't lose too many of your crops though Aidy...

Thanks for sending it up here Aidy! Most of our dykes are full to the brim and there's a lot of standing water in the fields. My g'house has 3" of water on the floor and the garden is completely sodden. At least it's dry today but …………...!!!!!!!!!!
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Perfect for growing rice.  :D

I haven't been to my allotment for over a week, but it is going to be soggy given it has clay soil.

Well today it has excelled itself, I organise for the garden club the emptying & replanting of the villages hanging baskets( all 110!) on behalf of the Parish Council. I thought we were going to escape the rain when it brightened up about 8.30, but by 10.00 boy did it rain. Luckily I’d organised the council to bring us some gazebo’s. Those of us that stayed were very wet & soggy by the end, which wasn’t actually the end as I told the Council men not to bring us any more by 1.30 & to get them to us next Tuesday when we replant . They were late arriving with the first load(again) & were taking over 50 minutes in between trips each time so there was loads of standing around which was fun in torrential rain. Fortunately we do have the trading store but even so not the best of days. I was wet thought to my undies . Now bathed & hair wash & a bowl of hot soup I feel ready for our social evening tonight.. it’s all go being chairwoman of the club

Ooh never thought to google it, ours are the ones on the giant umbrella type stands with a few on lamp posts etc. I think the ones you mean will be at the Anchor & no they’re not ours they have a firm in every week to water them etc( usually on a Thursday when I take my grandchildren to the library lol)
