R-COM 20 PRO my thoughts
That just reminded me another small problem I had was I filled the water up and the ball didn't float to the top so kept filling until I realised my feet were getting wet.  The ball had got stuck and the water flooded the bottom of the incubator then flowed out on my feet.  I had to dismantal the incubator, mop out all the extra water then pop the eggs back in again.  The humidity was a bit high but I managed to wedge the top open a little bit and it still worked until it had completely dried out.  I still got all the fertile eggs to hatch apart from one so not bad going.
40 hens, 8 cockerels, 3 dogs, 2 rabbits, 8 chinchillas, 2 teenage daughters and O/H

Glad to hear that NP.  I have hatched 5/5 fertile hatching eggs yesterday and last night so I am a very happy girl too.

As I said I think its an excellent incubator just has a few niggly problems that crop up from time to time.

Goose eggs take at least 30 days so if you've already got eggs in your incy I wouldn't put them in.

well after using this R-COM PRO for some time now

my verdict is i would NOT recommend it to any one

right now it asking for me to add water however the prob is its fall of water

i really do think its an over priced toy that really dose not work all that well

i think you can get a better incubator for Harv the price

this is only my opinion  but my advice would be think hard before you buy

If its asking for water and its full could the tubes be blocked with limescale (just a thought).  As for recommending it mine seems to work ok but is only the standard one but I guess its a good job we don't all like the same things as it would make life very boring.  I am quite happy with mine and about to put in more eggs.  I think I am going to populate Yorkshire with hundreds of chooks.

Take off the top and in the left hand side where the sponge goes, there are 2 stainless steel rods, clean the bottom of the rods as they will probably be sealed with limescale. this allows the electronics to read the water requirements.

Naturesparadise,

dismantle the incubator and take off the part that’s connect to the pipe in the left hand side, it has a small feeder valve in the middle, use needle to clean it out and then blow down the pipe that connects to the water pipe to make sure it’s not blocked and refit

Had the same problem

Hope that sorts it for you

I got the R-COM Pro 20 USB about a month ago, it really is the DBs,

Had a few problems getting the humidity right, water pipe got blocked and float was not working right, easily fixed, just ran it until the temp and humidity was stable.

Three weeks ago put 20 eggs in, found that 15 were fertile and their due to hatch tomorrow (getting egg wobble this morning).

Overnight it has started increasing the humidity,

Put crosses on all the eggs to check turning and it was faultless.

I am a newbie at hatching eggs and this piece of kit is great,  it’s all pre-programmed, put in the type of bird and off it goes (I was told that when the first eggs hatch it even hands round the cigars, have to wait for that one)

All in all a good experience
