MoreWhisky asked what to have with his new spuds.

I assumed they were the starters!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Having just come back from a camping holiday in St Ives i can vouch my Home Guards go excellent with fresh Mackeral and Lemon Sole.

After a day on the beach and a walk past the local fishmonger i felt like i was eating better than a king  :D
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

We had our new spuds with peas, broad beans and french beans from the garden with carrots from shop (as mine are still a bit small!) with turkey!    and tomorrow, we are going to have one of our chickens with new spuds, peas, broad beans, and if I can find any french beans and brocolli!!!

sauteed chickem breast with a white wine, creme fraiche and mustard (grainy type - not the brain exploding stuff) sauce-bit of chopped chive on the top - mops up luverly with newies - don't overdo the wine in the sauce though - any extra makes a handy addition to a glass!

Mackerel, either fresh or smoked.  Pork chop spread with mustard and grilled.  Baked chicken leg with lemon and thyme.  Spanish omelette (you can have them in the omelette and on the side!). Mmmm....
