A picture of our cat Amber running across the field at the back - not very remarkable, a cat running along but she's totally blind.

She does get into scrapes, like stuck on a gatepost and not sure how to get back down, but it's amazing how much she can do and how happy she is. But as the vet told me, she doesn't know she's disabled so it doesn't upset her.

She really is enjoying life. They are amazing ...... a friend has a cat (born without eyes) who dashes around with all her friends and lives life to the full.

We had no idea how much she would enrich our life. The only thing is I keep getting told off for spoiling her :) I know I don't let the other cats pinch my dinner but she can't see me glaring!

You do have to make a few allowances - I was about to swing the axe when she decided to jump onto the chopping block!
