Salmon Faverolles - By 2 weeks you can usually see a difference in the colours on the wings. Black should indicate a cockerel. Salmon brown should indicate a pullet.

don't toss in towel just yet give it two weeks to be on the safe side

I'd say definitely a cockerel.  Faverolles pullets have no dark feathers at all.

We'd love a cockerel, but our neighbours have already politely told us they hate the noise they make.

So I'm not going to read any of the other replies and if there was a emoticon for sticking fingers in ears and humming loudly I'd use it.  ::)

Please let her be a girl, please let her be a girl, please let  hummmmmmmmmmmm

It's a cockerel - the dark wing markings are a dead giveaway (I have several Salmon Faverolles).

But you might be lucky with crowing. Our two males are very quiet, just like our Buff Brahma roo - and completely unlike the Maran, Rock and Sussex boys.

Kegs... it is much easier to cull now than wait until they are fully gorwn!

I think Faverolles are meant to be good table birds (can anyone confirm this?) - so if she crows (which she won't) we've at least got another option.

Yes, Faverolles make a good table bird... however they are usually crowing loooooong before they are table weight (as with any other dual purpose breed)
