hen rescue trust
« on: December 01, 2013, 14:56 »
picked up my ex bat ladies yesterday and am well pleased with them.i couldnt belive how loving and trusting they are.no problems giving them a cuddle and handling them.i did go for 3 but couldnt resist and got 4. their all eating and drinking well.have had lots of treats they really like the mealworms they love scrating around and having fun.they picked up going in and out of the hen house in minuits which pleased me.only thing they got to learn is bed time i had to put them in the house at night they still wanted to be out lol.all in all im very pleased even left me some eggs this morning bless them. i just wish i had more room i would of taken more.still the 4 i got can be assured a very happy retirement with plenty of love..

no not my first hens but it is first time ive rescued ex batts just shoocked me how calm and trusting they are considering the lives they have been put through..would i do it again you bet i would i recomend anybody who keeps hens to have a couple not for the eggs just for the love and enjoyment they give.beats being sent off for pet food which is where they end up if not rehomed.
