I'll stick it in here!
« on: August 09, 2020, 13:06 »
This may never happen but...
I have five raised beds all made from paving slabs (or flags) on edge.  The early model was are sunk 50% into the ground with no support, the latter are resting on the surface of the ground the top edges held in place by angle iron  bracket.  I wish to lift the slabs 50% in the ground and rest them on the surface as the later beds are.

I can raise the slabs but then they will be hovering above a void! I had thought about a second welded angle iron band for the base but with 'legs' projecting out every few feet to rest on the ground surface.  Wadya think?Any ideas as to solving this conundrum?

Cheers,  Tony.

Just lift them & let the soil from in or outside fall into the void, a few tamps with the slab should compact & level it, then use your angle iron brackets to support as per your others.
