How's your hair cut going?
« on: May 03, 2020, 12:26 »
To date I've only trimmed my fringe, but this week I'll find my fine-tooth comb or maybe my cat's flea comb so I can just neaten up the ends. As I'm rather partial to a glass of vino or several, God only knows what it will look like when it's done but it an't look worse than it does now, can it?
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

No scissors have been near my hair since the end of February.  It now resembles a mass of grey barbed wire!  Husband has offered to use his clipers on it, I will not be availing myself of his generous gesture.

I usually just lop mine off with the kitchen scissors.  I gave up going to the hairdressers many years ago when I realised that I always hated what they did. My perception of "half an inch off please, and leave the fringe alone", always translated to them as "at least two to three inches off, and let's shorten the fringe by half".  The back of mine may not always be very straight, but I can't see that bit so I'm not that worried.

I'm going to be one very unkempt orangutan, assuming shops like barber's are amongst the last to reopen (I have contemplated setting my beard trimmer to no2 and going for it, but I've never had hair that short even before becoming a student, and I'm not sure I would survive the shock!  )
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

I've done Paul's, but I've done that before.  I do wish he could remove his ears though as I find that bit a bit tricky.  He won't even consider doing mine.  I've done my fringe as it was getting in my eyes, but that's all. As everyone is in the same boat are we really going to care?

Got mine trimmed day before lock down and it'll last another couple of months at least. Well it's always been the naval inch above the collar sort of length coming out of the hair dressers and never gets done more than 4/5 times a year anyway.

Thankfully I grew out my fringe out and can just tie my hair back, I did get a hair dye which my husband put in for me! My OH shaves his own head anyway. And my 6yr old son hates getting his hair cut anyway so I usually trim it when he's sleeping!

I was scalped back end of February.    Cut to about 1 cm all over     I than found out she normally is a barber and one style does for all.    At the moment it is fine, and my fringe is only just to half way down my
Forehead.     But come the day, I shall not go back to her.     Mrs Bouquet

Some years ago, I bought a Wahl hair trimmer, and can just about do the front, but the back is a bit of a tricky one...

As Mrs Growster has spotted a 'less inhabited' patch on the top, I really don't care much any more!

When I have hair like Richard Branson, I'll go and buy an island or something...

Father in Law got hold of a hair strimmer and did his own. He brought it over and put it on the hedge for Husband who used it immediately while talking to FIL. I had to help with the back a bit and around the ears, all while still outside. I get Husband to trim mine with the kitchen scissors since it's just taking the split ends off. Eldest and Youngest both helped last time which was scary. I refuse to spending a fortune on 5 minutes work getting 2/3 inches cut off and nothing else.

Last haircut was early September - luckily I don't have a fringe so it's just getting longer all over (and more knotted!)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

At the moment my hair is tied back with one of those stretchy green ties that you put around a joint of meat and my OH loves to give my new little pony-tail a tug when he walks past me. If his hair, moustache and beard grow any longer he'll look like someone who used to be in the band called Wizard!

Off topic, but saw Roy Wood once on Hastings pier, when he was with 'The Move'...

He didn't look anything like your man though, mainly because he was covered in girls all the time, not naice ladies laike thee, and he couldn't play much...
