Flubenvet impregnated pellets
« on: April 27, 2011, 09:40 »
Last year I got a cement mixer for our wedding anniversary, this year it is Marriages pellets with flubenvet!! Who said romance is dead???

Can anyone tell me how to administer them, do I just substitute and feed as the usual one?  Thanks
3 dogs now, 2 passed RIP Poppy and Paige, one wonderful husband and a new adventure on this wonderful island

Hi Kathie,
I recently used the Layers Mash with Flubenvent, I believe you just replace your regular pellets with the same amount of treated pellets for 7 days. I also understand the eggs are ok to use during this period. regards.

alternatively your o/h could have mixed a normal sack of layers with a tub of flubenvet in your cement mixer  :D
yes you can eat the eggs when they are on flubenvet  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

Thanks for your replies.
Joyful you're right but hubby has been doing building work for months and the novelty of the cement mixer has worn off!

Trying to find out a little more info on this product, mainly shelf life.
A 25kg sack from my local supplier is £12.50, every 3 months I mix up 4kg pellet/ flubenvet (in two batches) and that is enough for the 7day period, so in theory around 18 months worth, and as this stuff is in the pellet so no mixing it does sound to me a viable option so long it will not deteriorate.
I shall keep you advised unless someone on here has already got the info they wish to share.

Aidy he bought it online and there is very little info on pack, just contents really.  We are going to share it with a few other chicken keepers as we  only have 7 chooks and one is in the broody coop!

Have been sent info on a similar product which does have some technical info
 www.happychicks.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/Happychicksshop/_867454/249090/Layers%20Pellets%20with%20FLUBENVET%205%20percent%20pre%20mixed%205kg%20POM%20VPS
they do it in a 25kg for £12.50 or 5kg for £6.  Would go for the large bag but think it would go off before I used it on my 6 hens.  Usually have to check the date on the layers pellets I buy locally as have found that they don't always take stock off the shelves that is out of date.
