Hi  I have 6 isa brown chickens that are nearly 16 weeks... Only today one of my hens have sat in her nesting box since 11 am and seems very restless, she has been drinking and eating well but doesn't want to free range with the other  5 .... Could she be getting ready to lay??

Welcome to the site kat78.  Your post in the Welcome to the Forum section was removed as it gets confusing when replying to 2 similar threads.  Please introduce yourself to everyone again, I am sure you will get a warm welcome.   

In reply to your query it sounds very likely, they start laying earlier than most other breeds.  It could take some time so best to just let her get on with it.  She will probably announce that she has laid with very noisy rosey and strutting about. 

Please let us know if she is laying or if she has any other symptoms if you are still concerned.
