Hello all.
I have 3 girls just over a year old and my light sussex has a dirty bottom! She is pooping, laying, eating & drinking normally and dustbathes regularly but looks a right mess. No sign of redmite in the house and no sign of lice etc on the other two.
They have all recently been frontlined and have just finished a course of flubenvet but I'm concerned that I'm missing something.
She is the most unfriendly of girls in respect that she will not eat from my hand or allow me (or anyone) to touch her unlike the others so I have been unable to pick her up to do the bowl of water clean up thing.
I was going to try again tonight after she's put herself to bed but wondering if putting her back 'damp' will be problematic?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

wait until bed time as you said put a cloth or a lose fitting sock over her head so she cant see will keep her calm  take her in the house wash her bum and blow dry on low heat and pop her on the perch job done no stress and all is happy works a treat

Tallulah now has a fluffy white bottom again!
I tried one last time before they roosted and managed to catch her (just!)
I don't think she was too impressed with the bath but didn't try to escape, just 'coo coo coo'ed.
No lice or other nasties and skin in good condition PHEW.
Funnily enough, she will now come over to me now so perhaps realises I'm not the enemy!

I didn't use a sock.......just threw an old teatowel over her head until we got into the house, then she seemed to relax!
