Help badger!!!

Just gone into the back garden and come face to face with a badger!   It's only just after 4pm so I'm was a bit shocked.  Can anyone tell me what type of diseases it could pass on to my girls?

Especially make sure your hen house hatch cant be lifted, as they are stronger than a fox- and have been known to lift the shutters up and get in... (was not good, as once in the badger and chooks panicked..... )
