Post by: billybullock on May 27, 2009, 10:24
Does anyone else out there agree that this is probably the best growing conditions we have seen for years, so far no droughts, no floods, few pests due to harsh winter, plenty of sun, touch wood this is the best my allotments have looked since i took them 5 years ago, with a bit of luck any veg we cannot grow(caulis and swedes in my case)should be a reasonable price later this year, but i shant hold my breath

The weeds are certainly loving it so would tend to agree.

You do realise you've jinxed it all now, though, don't you  ;) :D

Got to agree , my words last week after putting a few more seeds in were " if it doesn`t grow with this weather it never will".

Could I be a pain and ask for the rain to occur over night and beautiful sunshine during the day please?  ;)

Now that would be perfect!

so far no droughts,

That might be the case for you, but we have had only two days rain in well over a month. This is desperate.

Aren't they just, can't keep on top of the weeding/hoeing at the moment, and so many other jobs to do.  ::)
