Title: laying has stopped!!

my 4 girls were laying 1 per day per bird, the odd day one would not lay, but in the last 2 days iv only got 1 egg ???  water and food all ok, house is ok, ...they free range too.

Red mite?
Check for other crawlies.

Feather loss? = Moult

Changed food recently?

What you feeding them on ? not made them fatties by too many treats have you ?

But like RH says check them over for mite, sure sign is if they a reluctant to go to roost.

layers mash, and corn mixed have been for weeks with no probs, and they get all sorts  of fruit and leftovers..i did stop them from freeranging for a 2 day period as i was away..?

seriously I'd knock the leftovers on the head for a week or two and cut down the corn mix to, perhaps a small handful each late afternoons if you can. Do they have access to oyster and grit ?

Sounds good to me, perhaps the spicey stuff Saturday put them out of sorts ?

just a thought, have a look round in case they are laying, and hiding eggs? eg under the shed?
