Archway for heavy croppers
« on: March 07, 2019, 18:13 »
Good evening I'm seeking a bit of help please I'm wanting to create a series or arches over the centre of my plot to grow cucumbers and runner beans on. I've seen an idea on and American vlog using something called cattle panels they are some sort of heavy wire that does not bend under the weight. Can anyone tell me what they are called here in the UK or of  a similar product or a way to construct the arches without them please ?? Thank you
Dig it!!!! ♥♥ :)

Growing climbing beans like this, either side of a path, works very well and looks good too. Not grown cucumbers like that but I am sure they would look spectacular.

Weldmesh comes in a range of hole sizes (Is this called gauge?) and a bigger one would be better than smaller.

The bigger one is sometimes called pig fencing  or stock fencing in the UK

thank you I have found some online suppliers and  will go to my local builders merchants today. The key who I saw with it grew small watermelons on hers as well it looked quite aesthetic.
