Chard, Bright Lights.

Has anyone grown this type of Chard?

Looks good in the ground but does it taste any good?

I've grown it for several years and it tastes fine. Some connoiseurs say the original fordhook is the most tasty, but I also find it tougher than bright lights.

I grow it every year. The leaves are great used like spinach! The thick stem part of the leaf is best either cut off the leaf and cooked for longer than the leaf or cut up and stir fried. If you steam the leaf and stem at the same time the leaf goes a bit mushy and the stem still hard ** hope this makes sense**

I understand me ~~ nobody else does!!

A lot of folks don't like them, try some before you sow, if you can. Some even describe the flavour as 'awful'.
