broccoli and cauliflower problem please help
« on: May 24, 2008, 17:18 »
Hi everyone  :D

Can anyone help with a possible problem I have with my cauliflower ( all year round variety ) and broccoli ( autumn calabrese variety )

I have noticed over the past few days that one of the leaves on several of the plants is turning black

The temperature did drop to 1c on tuesday night so could it be frost damage or is it something else , I have posted a couple of pics so you can see the problem.

Any help and advice with this would be much appreciated  :thumright:

Thanks and take care

Hopefully will just be the elements, Marky. Should grow out of it soon, in that case.

They look pretty good to  me, Marky. Might be worth popping some brassica collars round the base of the stem (or you can make them from cardboard) just to keep pesky cabbage root fly away.
