Hen beak

Hen beak

 :(  One of our hens has,lost her top beak. She seems ok but will it grow back, can she survive without it or do we have her destroyed :(
Help and advice needed asap in case she is suffering.

How did she lose it?
Is is all of her beak or part of it? If only part then depending on how short it now is it could grow back. Hens kept in closed confined places have their top beak clipped to help stop feather pecking - theirs don't usually grow back but if it is not clipped too short it should grow back.
Staffies are softer than you think.
