Title: Stripping sweetcorn kernels from the cob
Post by: madcat on September 04, 2021, 18:41
We have a lot of cobs and not a lot of freezer space, so I want to strip the kernels from some of the cobs to freeze.  It is a long winded process with a small knife and a thumb and is taking me FOREVER.  The gadgets on ebay seem to be for either a standard cylindrical cob which mine aren't being nicely tapered, or very wasteful/get a lot of the stringy cob in with them.  Does anyone have anything that does a good job, gets all the kernels and not too much extra in there??
