Where to buy tomato plants?
« on: April 06, 2020, 12:51 »
Hello, I'm new to the chat so hope I'm doing this correctly.  Our nursery has closed due to the C.virus.  I'm wondering where I can buy tomato plants for this year.  Can you help please?  Thank you.  Rita

Good afternoon  Rita,  Tell me approximately where you are.  If in North Wiltshire, I have a few you can have.

Cheers,  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

Lots of people getting rich selling them on famous online auction site.  You could try ordering the search by distance and see if there's someone nearby.

Stay safe, even homegrown tomatoes aren't worth getting sick for!

I know this isn’t quite the answer to your question but I may also have too few plants this year and will employ the Bob Flowerdew method of planting up the side shoots. I’ve not done it before but seems worth a go. But of course you need at least one plant to start with!!!

As a last resort it not to late to grow from seed and you can use a shop bought Tomato as a last resort, at least you will have something

Works really well - worth doing as standard if you're growing some of the expensive F1 varieties to save a bit of money on seed.
